Bald Eagle

Culuk came to Bird TLC in 2005 after having his wing tip amputated due to a collision with an electrical wire. While he may be unable to fly and hunt for his food, he enjoys means of trout, quail, salmon, and moose. He likes to spend time relaxing and gazing out of his aviary. Culuk’s name means feather in Alutiiq. Bald Eagles live only in North America. Over half of the population lives in Alaska. They prefer to live near water to hunt fish, ducks, gulls, and shorebirds. With their spotting-scope-like eyes, eagles can see objects more than 1.5 miles away.
